Head basketball coach at Adams High School from 1964 until 1998 when consolidation with Filley brought about Freeman Public Schools. Coached basketball for 35 years and compiled a record of 540 wins and 237 losses. Only seven teams had losing records. Fourteen teams played in the state tournament, with championships won in 1968, 1972, 1977 and 1993. Honors include Coach of the Year (1977), Nebraska Coaches Association Level IV award and district coach of the year; Nebraska Athletic Director of the Year (1993).
