Thirty-year wrestling coaching career at Gering produced six state championships and seven state runner-up finishes, twenty top five state meet finishes and a state-record 106-match dual winning streak that ranks nationally. His teams won 96 tournament championships, also ranking on a national basis. In addition, enjoyed successful football coaching career at Gering, and served as the school's athletic director.
