Cal Bentz, Lincoln

Coach--Omaha Westside's swimming and diving coach from 1963 to 1977 developed a program into a dominating force in the state of Nebraska and one which gained plaudits across the country. Westside won 12 championships under Cal's direction. His subsequent   years at men's head coach and/or director of the combined men/women programs at the University of Nebraska also gained national recognition after 15 men's conference championships, three for the women and top 10 national finishes with both squads.

  Cal Bentz is a co-founder of American College Connection. He has coached and taught for the past forty-five years. His collegiate men's and women's teams won 21 conference championships and produced 94 collegiate All Americans. Among his collegiate athletes, 22 were Olympians, from all over the world. His high school boys' and girls' teams won 15 state championships. He continues to provide camps and clinics for young athletes.
